Hello to all,

After leaving our RV in Middlebury, IN for a few minor repairs,
we have arrived back in NY for a short visit with our friends and family.

We just left Ann Arbor, MI where we visited with some of Bill's family. We got to meet cousins that he has not seen in about 34 years. It was very nice. Aunt Dee is a super great cook.

We had a lot of fun while there. Took a tour of the Ford Rouge Factory where the F150 is assembled. It was cool to see trucks actually being manufactured.

We also visited the Henry Ford Museum. They have the limo there that Kennedy was shot in, along with the famous Lamy Diner. Bill loved that!

After a brief visit here in NY, we will be headed to KY to visit with one of my cousins that I haven't seen since I was a teenager. I'm very excited to see them.

Love to you all,

Hello to all,

Since we arrived in St. Ignace, MI, it has been very cool.
The weather sure changed overnight. It was in the low 90's one day and along with some rain came some cool weather. 40's and 50's. We are not ready for fall weather in Sept.
They are calling for rain all week so we hurried to get our touring done in a couple days.

We visited Oswald's Bear Ranch in Newberry, MI. It was wonderful..... Bill got to have his picture taken with a bear. They have many bears on their ranch. It was the home of the largest bear on record weighing 880 lbs at death but estimated weight of over 1000 lbs. before hibernation the previous winter. His name was Tyson, he died of an heart attack suffered after a fight with another bear. It was a very nice place. Highly recommended!

We also visited the largest waterfalls in MI...Tahquamenon Falls. It was very pretty there. A very nice walk in the woods. We have had a great time seeing waterfalls during this trip to Michigan.

We spent the day on Sunday at Mackinac Island. It was outstanding! A ferry ride to get there and a day full of fun!
There are only three ways to see the island. Bicycle, walk or carriage ride. We chose the horse drawn carriage ride. What fun!
They have a Grand Hotel (Sorry no picture of it), Fort Mackinac, Arch Rock and Downtown street of shops to make any tourist happy.

Hope you all enjoyed your long holiday weekend. Best of luck for those of you returning back to school.
